Absolutely terrible recruitment agency. I run my own successful businesses but decided to explore my next contract role & was contacted by this recruitment agency.
My experience from start to finish with Connect44 has been traumatic. An agent in the London office, Ksenia Scherbakha & the manager in the Lucerne office, Raquel Gomez have no concept of customer service, manners, professionalism or empathy. This company does not vet employers or clients properly & had me fly out to an interview with a large firm, who offered me a role. Connect44 delayed my contract time and time again, kept “reassuring” me about the delays only to reveal that the manager interviewing me did not even have sign off or the appropriate authority to hire me! Connect44 wasted my time, effort & money, then literally pulled the rug from beneath my feet just a couple of days before I was due to move country and begin work from the UK to Switzerland, after making all arrangements to move! Thereafter, Raquel was shamelessly unapologetic about the whole situation. I have been told by her that my review & opinion will not matter and will not make a difference as Connect44 & the client are too big & reputable for anyone to care about my isolated experience. They have now been ignoring my requests for at least my travel costs to be reimbursed, as best practice due to my circumstances. Almost a month later, the M.D. in the UK is now ignoring my correspondence. In my 15 years of professional work globally, across multiple sectors, I have never come across such unprofessional individuals. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to work with this agency & intend to voice my ordeal via social media channels ie LinkedIn, via online recruitment forums, to the REC & relevant governing & authoritative bodies, as well as the press, where possible.
